My dear brother, Abe, has been fighting a rare form of aggressive skin cancer on his face for more than 19 years.

Throughout this unimaginable journey, Abe has faced many rounds of surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IV treatments, prescription medications, and countless other attempts to try to stop this disease. Despite everything he has endured, the cancer has continued to spread. It has already claimed his left eye, and now the cancer is threatening his right eye, putting him at risk of going fully blind. There is also still a risk that this cancer could spread to his brain which could potentially end his life.

Abe is one of the strongest people I know. Even through years of pain, disfigurement, uncertainty, and setbacks, he has continued to remain positive, hopeful, and optimistic. He has always been the kind of person who inspires everyone around him.

Abe is the reason I started snowboarding and competing. He has been one of my greatest role models throughout my life, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him.

After almost two decades of fighting, we are asking for your help so Abe can pursue a new cutting edge treatment that could give him a chance to save his remaining eye and preserve his vision.

The financial burden of fighting cancer for so many years has been overwhelming. Abe has spent nearly everything he has on treatments, medications, and medical care, much of which has unfortunately been unsuccessful for him. Doctors across the country have been at a loss for how to treat Abe’s specific type of cancer and at this point, he simply does not have the financial means to pursue this next treatments on his own so we are reaching out for your help.

The new treatment protocol has shown incredible promise, and unfortunately very little if any of it can currently be covered by insurance. Any contribution—big or small—would make a meaningful difference in Abe’s fight. Your donation will help give him an opportunity to pursue this treatment to keep the cancer from spreading further.
