Help Me Gain Life-Changing Medical Experience in Peru!

Hi everyone!

I am beyond excited to share that I have been selected as one of only 20 students for an incredible medical internship in Cusco, Peru this summer! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow me to gain real-world clinical experience, shadow physicians in major hospitals, and serve in field clinics for underserved communities—all while immersing myself in a new culture and strengthening my Spanish medical skills.

Why This Opportunity is So Important to Me:

I am currently fast-tracking my studies to graduate a year early so I can gain hands-on experience before applying to medical school. As an aspiring anesthesiologist, understanding different medical systems, cultural influences, and patient care approaches is essential for my future.

From June 13th to July 7th, I will:

✅ Shadow physicians across multiple specialties in major hospitals

✅ Work in field clinics treating both rural and urban communities with limited access to healthcare

✅ Learn about South American medical techniques and their integration into modern healthcare

✅ Strengthen my Spanish proficiency, putting me in a highly advantageous position for working in diverse communities

✅ Gain firsthand experience with global healthcare challenges, shaping my perspective as a future doctor

Additionally, the program includes a two-day excursion to Machu Picchu and biweekly cultural lectures, helping me broaden my worldview and become not only a better doctor—but a better person.
