We’re reaching out to everyone who knows and loves our beautiful, spirited and courageous Nikki, or anyone who reads this and feels moved by her story.

Nikki is 38 and this marks her fifth year battling metastatic breast cancer and many mutations. She has endured countless blood tests, biopsies, surgery, MRIs, CT scans, transfusions, infusions, holistic treatments, physical therapies, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, experimental drugs—you name it. This has been her reality. And despite everything, most people wouldn’t even know the extent of her illness because she always maintains a positive, forward-looking attitude, always putting others before herself.

The past few weeks have been particularly tough with Nikki back in the hospital. Even with her unwavering fighting spirit, she recently admitted, “this is now really hard.”

Nikki has just begun further intensive treatment for a rare mutation that has spread to her spinal fluid and brain membrane. Her greatest fears are that her family won’t be okay, but of course, their only concern is Nikki’s well-being.

Anyone who knows the Treveil family understands that they are the most loving, close-knit family, embodying integrity and generosity. Each of them selflessly does everything they can to help others, a trait passed down from Bill and Jo, Nikki’s remarkable parents.

This latest news about Nikki’s need for drastic treatment to survive has been a heavy blow to everyone, and it’s hard to find positives right now.

Aside from the emotional toll and rollercoaster which can be unbearable in itself, fighting the cancer has come with constant and sometimes overwhelming costs. The latest being alterations required to make the family home wheelchair accessible for when she is able to come out of hospital, as Nikki’s latest treatment has affected her ability to walk. Nikki herself has things she still plans to do, and simple things like a hospital grade bed at home might be afforded with our help.

The Treveil family is now solely focused on spending as much time as possible with Nikki, and Nikki herself has now agreed that we can reach out for help. We hope to raise funds to ease the financial burden so that this wonderful family can focus on being together.

With all this in mind, we’re sharing this message in the hope that those who know this incredible family—or who can empathise with what they’re going through—will show their support. Any contribution, big or small, would be so appreciated by Nikki.

Love to all on behalf of Nikki and her family x
