My good friend, Suzanne Scheid (Dorgan), recently received terrible news regarding her 11 year old daughter, Raegan. Raegan is an incredible athlete (she’s also smart, beautiful, kind and has the best sense of humor). She plays baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, track and cross country. During her last basketball game, she began to feel symptoms such as dizziness, nausea and fatigue. Her parents took her to the doctor where they gave her an echocardiogram. After getting the results they were referred to a doctor in Portland for a stress test and CT. Those results confirmed that Raegan has a congenital heart defect, an anomalous right coronary artery with symptoms. Basically, her artery is in the wrong spot and because of this, it is getting squished when her heart rate is up.
Raegan will be having open heart surgery at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland on March 4th.
Suzanne and Jake will be facing hardship in the upcoming months, as they have to take a leave from work to be with Raegan in Portland, which is 4 hours away from their home in Medford . Not only will they be losing their income, but they’ll be faced with many hospital bills. Please consider donating or sharing this go fund me so that Suzanne and Jake can have one less thing to worry about. Thank you so much
