Hi, my name is Julia. My dad has to have surgery on his Rotator Cuff.

He will be out of work for some time. My Dad will be having physical therapy and aftercare and on the mend to heal. He is a 25-year retiree from the Air Force. He drives the local trolley and drives the bus for a nearby university around the town. He's non-stop, on the go! Taking care of the home, work, and my mom, who is in a wheelchair getting her to doctor appointments, etc.

He's the glue!

With his military service. He served honorably for 25 years, achieving the rank of MSgt. and served around the world in the US Air Force.

My Dad also has followed in his Dad's footsteps and is an honorable Mason and dedicated to the service of brotherhood.

Please send some love my dad's way to help with bills and life itself. Hopefully, my dad can take some time to breathe, heal, and maybe with a community of love, he can retire.

UPDATE:

There is no easy way to say this, my mom is now in the hospital, awaiting a rehab center bed availabity and approval. So she is on hold at the ER until then.

She took a serious fall on Tuesday morning. On Thursday, we went to the ER at Maine Medical Center in Portland. X-rays showed she broke an area at the base of her spine creating severe pain and balance issues. The doctor’s concern has a two part challenge. First, she will require 24-hour care for up to six weeks.

Second part, my Dad is still pending surgery for his rotator cuff tear that will make him unable to provide the hands on care she needs for safety and everyday needs.

But wait theres MORE!!

My Dad's car has been given CPR numerous times! However, it is currently resting peacefully in the driveway. We have been sharing one car to and from work and the hospital.

I appreciate anything you can do to help them during this time.

My Mom stayed at Maine Medical Center until Wednesday, 2/11, then transferred to Seaside Rehabilitation Center in Portland for an unknown amount of time. We hope she gets the care and healing time.
