Peewee Needs Tumors and Tail Removed

Donation protected
Hi my name is Vee. I am 63 and live in Westport massachusetts. I adopted my awesome dog peewee in 2015. He had been taken home by a pet store employee after 11 months because he couldn't stand to see him in that cage every day. However, the owner lost his lease and his new apartment wouldn't allow pets so I adopted him. I've been the luckiest person on earth ever since.
Whenever Peewee has had rabies shots, he would have reactions like swelling. I was advised no more rabies vaxes. But 7 years later he had to have one because the cat he associated with was attacked and its rabies vax had expired 2 weeks prior. He got a lump on his tail after that rabies shot. A year later in March 2023 he was due for another shot. I expressed to the vet about the swelling in his tail and anus but she said it was no big deal benign tumors. BUT three weeks later the tumors got bigger and bigger. One ulcerated in November. I took him to an ER vet who said his tail had to be amputated and it would be between 4 and 5 k with tests. That is half my yearly disability income. I did research and I got an appointment at a charitable Teaching Veterinary Clinic but got covid the day before the appointment in December. Had to wait until today to reschedule (they take appointments first of the month) and I told them the tumor is worse since Saturday night. But now they are sending me somewhere else, saying they are booked!!! I called the referral and they don't do that type of surgery and it's not low cost anyway! So now square one again.
He needs to have his tail completely amputated. I have been changing his dressing on his tail for a month and a half everyday and now I need to find somewhere to go. And he's in pain and i feel so badly.
I got dementia when I was 48 and lost both my homes and my business. I've been a hard worker my entire life and I live on $1,000 a month to pay my rent and utilities. To find out my dog is ill and needs attention and is in pain is overwhelming.I've tried everything to make money to get him the help he needs because when no one else stood by me after i lost everything ( no money no friends lol), when things were tough I always had my dog. He's the best little guy and I know everyone says that about their dog but he's so much fun. And I have given him a Wonderful Life. I've taken him for walks to every conservation area and beach during blizzards and rain heat snow no matter what we hike. and he still today likes to go for walks and hike. I put him on the grass for the first time in his life when he was 1. His first beach. His first car ride. I cook for him every day. I have peanut butter and he has chicken lol. When i leave the stove on he reminds me. He does not leave my side. In 9 years I've only been away from him 9 days. I walked him while on crutches after hip surgery. And he sits by me and i just love him so much. But i can't pay for this. I have no credit and nothing to sell. If you could please just lend me $10 or whatever so that I could bring him somewhere today to get looked at because this must be really painful and I feel so bad. I will pay each and every one of you back if it takes me the rest of my life. If peewee has his tail amputated and gets his testicle removed, the vet thinks he'll live many more happy years because he's in fantastic physical condition muscularly speaking. thank you!
