Help Save My Dog

Hi everyone,

I honestly never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but I’m completely devastated and asking for help to try and save my dog.

This morning she suddenly became critically unwell and struggled to breathe. It escalated so quickly that she had to be rushed to the Jindalee Animal Emergency Service hospital after her gums turned white and she was fighting for air. Watching it happen was one of the most traumatic and terrifying moments of my life.

She is currently receiving emergency treatment, oxygen support, testing, monitoring, and ongoing care while the vets try to stabilise her and work out exactly what’s wrong. The costs have already reached around $4,000, and I’ve now been told ongoing intensive care could cost thousands more every 12 to 24 hours.

Anyone who knows me knows she is not just a dog to me, she’s genuinely my whole world. Being half deaf, she has become so much more than a pet. She’s my companion, my comfort, and the little soul who has stayed beside me through some of the darkest and hardest periods of my life. The thought of losing her is something I can barely process right now.

I’m trying to stay strong and make the best decisions for her care, but emotionally and financially I’m overwhelmed. I would do absolutely anything for her, and right now I’m just trying to give her the best possible chance to survive.
