On Sept 16, I took my 3-month-old kitten Kokochin to the vet for routine vaccinations. For several days after, she had no energy or appetite, but I looked online and saw that this was common after vaccinations and should subside within a few days, so I didn't think much of it.
But her symptoms didn't subside within a few days. The night of Sept 21/22, I realized she had a bad fever and refused to eat or drink anything, so I rushed her to the animal hospital. They hospitalized her overnight to get IV fluids into her and ran a blood test. It turns out the stress of the vaccinations and the immune response they created likely triggered FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) in her, a disease that can only be treated with a very expensive medication. Even after the hospitalization, her symptoms have just been getting worse. She still has a fever and now struggles to breathe, and only eats and drinks a little bit.
My biggest problem right now is that my parents don't see the justification of spending thousands to save a 3-month-old kitten, so they are threatening to kill her.
Conversation had with my mom when I was out buying the medicine:

(Thankfully, I rushed home to find her still alive and in the house.)
I'm not willing to give up on her, but I only recently graduated university in the middle of a pandemic, so I don't have a stable job and don't have the resources to move out. And I recently invested a lot in video/computer equipment to kick-start a Chinese history/culture Youtube channel (you may have seen my Mulan dissection here), so this really is the worst possible time.
I've already spent 1109.14 in vet bills, and estimate that I'd need to spend 2401.25 more to treat her (Update: This has increased to 3495 due to a higher dosage of meds needed). I appreciate any help you can give. I will be posting all my receipts for transparency.
