Hello everybody.
My name is Barbara and I am trying to raise money for my 4 months old daughter called Barbara. Barbara was born 2 months prematurely while I have been abroad in Slovakia. After Barbara was born, she has been taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she has been placed on a ventilation, as she had undeveloped lungs. Further testing reveal that she also has a Polycystic Kidney Disease which is very serious condition.
Her kidney’s function was minimal, and after few days both of them failed to work. So just 2 weeks old Barbara was put on a haemodialysis. This type of dialysis carries a major risk for babies and especially preterm babies. Therefore, we were told to expect that our daughter might not survive haemodialysis. However, Barbara is a fighter and her desire to live helped her to overcome this obstacle and she survived haemodialysis. Fast forward to few days later, and Barbara is going for a major operation for nephrectomy (kidney removal surgery). During this procedure she also had peritoneal catheter placed in her abdomen, and shortly after the surgery Barbara has been put on to a peritoneal dialysis. Fast forward to few months later, and Barbara is having another surgery to get her other kidney removed. This was supposed to be Barbara's last surgery and she should of came home after she recovers. However, Barbara is being face with other complications associated with Polycystic Kidneys Disease; and the country we are staying at right know is not sure of how will Barbara’s condition evolve in the nearest future. This is because Slovakia does not have experience with Polycystic Kidneys disease in babies as Barbara is the first baby in Slovakia with this condition.
Therefore, I am kindly asking for a help. Please help us to raise money for our MIRICLE daughter to get her back home to UK, so that she could be treated at Great Ormand Street Hospital in London. As we know she will get all the help possible at Great Ormand Street Hospital. As far as we know Great Ormand Street Hospital had dealt with this disease, where as in Slovakia she’s the first baby with Polycystic Kidney Disease, and in Slovakia there is nothing more they can do to save our baby. We as a parents want the best for our daughter and we know that there is a hope for our baby girl at Great Ormand Street Hospital.
We want our precious daughter to live and we know she wants a chance for a life too, just seeing all the obstacles she had overcame, just to be with her mum and daddy, makes us believe Barbara wants to be on this earth with us. Barbara has been fighting ever since she was born and we as a parent’s need to support her on this journey and give her the opportunity to live. So please help Barbara by donating so we can pay for the air ambulance to get her back home, so she can get all-necessary help she needs, so that she can live, and enjoy life as any other child.
This is the last resort to help our daughter, we never asked for money but we are desperate to safe our princess please help us to be together.
