Help Zak Pay for Emergency Brain Surgery

Meet the Gott Family; Zak, his wife Hannah, and their gorgeous babies, Evelyn (4), Bethel (2), and Bennet (9 mon).

Zak had been experiencing severe headaches for over 2 weeks. Being the strong, dedicated, and supportive dad/husband that he is, he continued to go to work and care for his family without hesitation. While driving to work early this morning Zak lost his peripheral vision and immediately called Hannah saying he needed to come home. Zak is as stubborn as he is strong and Hannah knew if he was coming home from work it was going to be serious.

The two, along with their newborn Bennett, rushed to the ER, leaving their precious girls in the care of close friends at home. Once at the hospital, Zak was rushed in for an MRI for doctors to discover he had a brain tumor and would require immediate surgery.

Family members continue to pour in from out of town to care for Evelyn, Bethel, and Bennet so Hannah can remain by Zak's side as he is currently being taken in an ambulance to Johns Hopkins for his brain surgery. Zak and Hannah are patiently waiting, sitting in the unknown, and praying for a Christmas miracle.

Here is what they know so far: Zak has a growing Germ Cell Brain Tumor that needs to be removed immediately, surgery will cost beyond what insurance will cover, and in the best case scenarios Zak, who is the sole financial provider, will be unable to work for 12 weeks post-surgery.

Zak will be inpatient for the next 7 days and the Gott Family will celebrate Christmas this year together at Johns Hopkins.
