Hi my name is Chloe, I have set up this fundraiser on behalf of my dad, Liam Maltby.

Unfortunately on Wednesday 5th of April a fire started at my dads home. It’s primary starting point was my dads bedroom which then spread onto the landing into the bathroom etc leaving the upstairs floor in pretty bad shape. 4 fire engines arrived promptly and were able to keep it under control. While the ground floor was not damaged by the fire, it has been affected by the water used to put out the fire and the whole property has smoke damage.

As a result of the fire my dad has lost a lot of his possessions including the majority of his clothes, his personal possessions, my little brothers tablet and Nintendo switch, his TV etc along with other household items.

Now anyone that knows my dad, will know that he would give a stranger the shirt off his own back! He is the most genuine, caring and giving person I know and has done nothing but give to society and be there for others - this is a time he deserves it back!

Financially this will take a toll on my dad like it would with anyone, but hopefully with the help of others this situation won’t be so difficult to deal with and the stress will hopefully be eased.
