I started my business back in 2012 and since day one I was always hard working and honest . I was honest with customer and always did my best to support local charity's and help people when I could. I was the one who replaced the Games console when it was stolen from Southampton children's hospital.
So after working hard in May 2016 I treated myself to a dream car a 2006 BMW M5 which was up for sale with Imperial Cars in Portsmouth . Total cost just under £20,000 this included £7000 deposit and rest with Motonovo finance and also included there gold warranty which I was told would cover all costs if anything went wrong .
Skip to Feb 2017 and the car broke down on the way home from taking my daughter out in Bideford North Devon. I was recovered home and looking at the paper work the engine was replace just 13k miles ago by BMW at a cost of £20,000 ( Invoice present ) It was also serviced by Imperial cars with the wrong oil 5w30 which is against bmw recommend keeping in mind there is a plate under the bonnet starting only 10w60 should be used .
After calling the Warranty company they tell me they only cover £40 an hour labour and not only does no one work for this the M5 is a 500bhp car which can only be worked on by very few people .
They wanted to inspect the car and advised me I would need to pay the £6000 costs to strip the engine . I refused .
Both Imperial cars and motonovo refused to help .
The warranty company also refused to let me fix it myself due to conflict of interest.
I then started legal action against them. At first I used Biscoes In portsmouth who long story short started a claim again Imperial cars and not Motonovo again this was wrong and they took £10,000 off me and then once Lisa England pointed this out the barrister they suggested they then tried to bill me to correct there own mistakes.
I hired an independent engineer Called John Vines who said the wrong oil was likely to have caused the engine failure.
Imperial cars then sent there own engineer out who agreed in front of me that the oil was to blame . When we got the report it was completely against this saying oil had no effect on the engine.
I then called the specialist they sent who admitted ( I have the video) he never wrote the report and just told them his views that the oil was to blame .
Falsely submitting a court report is not a good idea .
Once they found out I had the video Imperial cars then called John Vines and accused him to offering to change his report .
John did but only make it a joint expert report meaning the content would be the same but the grammar woild be changed from I to We to make it part35 compliant.
The court ordered another report done by a man called James Wade and after all communications was done via email with my solicitor Imperial cars and motonovo so all was on the table with everyone being CC into each and every email Imperial cars decided to Call James Wade direct for an unknown reason .
After months and months and almost £90,000 in costs and time I was under the impression that I could not lose . This was a high performance car which had a full warranty and broke down with bmw even quoting £32,000 for a new engine.
Surly a brand new engine lasting only 13k miles was not durable meaning with able to withstand wear and tear ??????
Yet on 27th Nov I lost and I still dont understand how it's my own fault to repair a car I had only done 7k miles in with a full warranty.
Imperial cars refused to return the car at the start of court action leaving me to pay the £450 to get it back .
I have the video to prove they faked a report.
I have screen shots of Facebook message saying all costs are covered by warranty .
I have all reports .
And now I have £20,000 extra to find to pay there legal costs when I'm already drowning in debt and no hope and the only way to save my mums house who I pay the mortgage on is to end it all and remove my debt . If I do then the business will flourish and my family will be taken care of .
Nov 2018 losing my dad the same year I took an overdose I was I'n debt with no way out and as of today I'm 3 times worse without a light at the end of the tunnel.
I'm well beyond help now but if I can save one person from going down the same road as me it will be all worth it .
They have lied and cheated there way out of this and truth is I could of fixed the car for around £6500 myself yet I was not allowed.
No matter what dont take on the big companies as they dont care about anything else but Money and will do anything to get out of it .
I owe the best part of £96,000 yet £8500 will get me out the hole and give me a leg up to start to rebuild myself so for the first time ever I'm asking for help .
