Please Pray for Mariam — Fighting Cancer for the Second Time** 2.0
Our family is coming forward with broken hearts, trembling hands, and unwavering faith. We are asking -begging — for prayers from all because we believe in the power of prayer, and right now, Mariam needs every single one.
*Mariam*, Our sister Bobbie and brother in law Abdul's 17-year-old daughter, is the kind of young woman who leaves a mark on your soul. She is kind, girly, athletic, funny, charismatic, loving, and beautifully spiritual. She brings joy into every room, hope into every conversation, and warmth into every life she touches.
Last year, we witnessed a miracle. On *November 18, 2024* Mariam rang the bell after beating B-Cell Lymphoma— a moment filled with tears, gratitude, and the belief that God had carried her through the darkest storm of her life.
But on *September 12*, our world collapsed again.
Our sweet girl who had just begun to step back into normal life was unexpectedly diagnosed with AML Leukemia. A whole new cancer. A whole new battle. One no child should ever have to face… especially not twice.
We are devastated. We are scared. But we are faithful.
And we are holding onto hope with everything we have.
**The Road Ahead**
Mariam will undergo a bone marrow transplant on December 3rd at SickKids Hospital in Toronto. This is a life-saving procedure, but it comes with a long and difficult journey:
130 days in Toronto for treatment and recovery,
Followed by another month at McMaster in Hamilton
And then weekly checkups to protect her fragile immune system.
Her parents and brother Taisir will not leave her side — they refuse to. She needs them every day, every hour, every moment.
**What the Family Is Facing**
In the middle of this nightmare, Mariam’s father was laid off from work, leaving the family terrified of how they’ll manage months away from home, without income, while trying to stay strong for their daughter.
They are doing everything they can, but they can’t do it alone.
**Why We Are Asking for Help**
Your support will help the family with:
Living expenses during months in Toronto, gas, food
Travel between hospitals
Medical needs not fully covered
Loss of income during this crisis
The ability to stay by Mariam’s bedside where she needs them the most
But more than anything —
we are asking for your prayers.
Pray for healing.
Pray for strength.
Pray for peace.
Pray that God surrounds Mariam with protection, comfort, and complete restoration.
Mariam is a warrior. She fought cancer once with courage that inspired us all… and she is preparing to fight again.
We believe in miracles.
We believe in community.
We believe in the healing power of prayer.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for praying for Mariam, supporting her family, and walking with them through the hardest battle of their lives
Please please hold Mariam in you're hearts, keep her safe and close in you're prayers and stand with us all in faith.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
