Support Diesel Kane's Emergency Treatment
Hi, my name's Clarissa and I'll be 28 on December 19th. This guy here in the pictures is Diesel Kane, aka Fat Daddy. My daddy passed away on August 24th, 2017, and Diesel was born on Sept 1, 2017. I got him at 5 weeks old and have had him ever since. I got him because he looked exactly like my father's dog he used to have, and I got Diesel as a therapy dog for me to cope with my father's death. Diesel saved me when I couldn't save myself. He's brought so much happiness and love into my life, and he is my baby. I cannot have children of my own, so DIESEL IS MY BABY. And anyone who truly knows me knows he is my PRIDE AND JOY.
I noticed him randomly limping the other day and figured maybe he just hurt his paw. But last night when I got off work, my baby did not greet me at the door as usual. So I got up and went looking for him. He was in the other bedroom, laying on the ground, and did not want to get up. I laid on the floor with him, petting him and loving on my baby, and begged him to get up to go potty. He would not. He finally got up to come lay on my bed, and when he walked to my bed, he limped SEVERELY the entire way. After he slept for 2 hours, he got up to go jump off my bed, which is not even high, and he could not even hold his weight. My baby FELL off my bed, and I tried to catch him, but he fell too fast. He went and laid down in the living room for the rest of the night, and when I woke up this morning, I found him laying in his own pee and he wouldn't move at all.
I took him to Angels of Assisi, where they informed me he's showing signs of "lepto" and has a bacterial infection, and that he's in kidney failure and has a temp of 106 degrees. They said he needs to be hospitalized in order for him to be saved. I live on a small income and have custody of my sister's child, and I work at Logan's Roadhouse, getting paid little every two weeks. I do not make anywhere near enough and have zero dollars to my name. Angels of Assisi just took my only $50 I had to my name. I'm asking all my guardian angels who have a heart to come together for my sweet, sweet baby. Those who KNOW DIESEL know he's a very, very, very good boy and wouldn't harm a fly on anyone's head and is very well trained. I have had him his entire life since he was a baby. I'm begging God and everyone to save my baby. Someone please, please, please get my baby the treatment he needs so I do not have to euthanize him. I cannot live without my Diesel Kane, Mama's Fat Daddy, my handsome man. Someone please help me get my baby into an emergency vet. I do not have the moneyyyyy he's critical and need iv and fluids ect for a weekend!!! He won't eat or drink I have to force him w a syringe for fluids. TIME CRITICAL
UPDATE he is at town and country vet. they just called me and told me he is trying HARD to fight off this battle but he will need to be in there the full 3 days !!! which means the high end of the bill and that's 4500! please help all you can. he's showing he wants to come home and play ball with mama!!!
