PowerHockey Ottawa is a player-driven organization dedicated to fostering the growth of its athletes. By leveraging the collective talent, passion, and perspectives of its players, the organization aims to create an inclusive environment. PowerHockey, played with wiffle balls, floor hockey sticks, and power wheelchairs in a gym setting, accommodates individuals with diverse disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, and Multiple Sclerosis. Notwithstanding mobility limitations, participants enthusiastically engage in this competitive sport. PowerHockey Ottawa seeks to expand its reach and enhance the experience for individuals with disabilities of all ages. Upcoming events include the OxDog Open in Guelph and the NAPHA PowerHockey Cup in Philadelphia. Secured funding will support travel and training endeavors.
