This gofund me is being organized for the family of Jamar Schaffers. Jamer was only 18 years old when he was taken away from his family by an evil, senseless unprovoked act of violence. Jamar was giving a ride to whom he thought was a friend and while looking down at his iPad he was shot in the head 4 times at point blank range. The person who did this despicable act is still at large. Jamar held on to his precious life to make it to the hospital and through brain surgery. Jamar fought for his life for days on life support. He was making hopeful improvements, but sadly Jamar couldn’t fight anymore and passed away. Jamar always had a smile on his face. This young man’s manners were so amazing that this was always spoken about as one of his best qualities. He was always so grateful for whatever was given to him, even if it was as simple as candy. He was always the silliest of his 3 brothers and making any situation a reason to smile. He had dreams of becoming a veterinarian since he was a child and wanted to start exploring the world since he recently turned 18. He was his mother’s most adventurous child. Jamar’s mother is a federal government worker who has been affected during the last two government shutdowns. The pain this mother is experiencing is a pain no parent should have to endure.
