Please help my dog Jojo get his vital surgery!
Hi I’m Luis, a United States Marine Corps veteran, small business owner, father to two
girls and one small but mighty chihuahua, JoJo.
Jojo became mine in December of 2019 when his owner’s landlord no longer wanted dogs in the building. I knew JoJo because I rented an office and garage from the same landlord for my auto repair business and took him in.
Over this past year JoJo has become apart of me. I am a mobile mechanic and he comes on the road with me. He keeps me company, makes my customers smile, and is my 4 year old daughters best friend.
One month ago I had to rush him to the ER when he had blood in his urine. He had stones, they were pushed back into his bladder and I was told to bring him to his vet to have them identified to see if they require surgery or to be dissolved. The vet said he saw no issues, prescribed some meds and sent us on our way. Last night Jojo began vomiting, had blood in his urine and was crying in pain. He was rushed to the vet where we were told he had to be taken to the ER. Once there they discovered his bladder had ruptured and he requires a specialized surgery. Thus far I have spent $3,000 on emergency room visits, vets and meds and this surgery will cost an additional $18,000.
Please help me get JoJo the surgery he needs to stay alive. Im not looking to raise the entire amount, as a small business owner and father this past year has been difficult for everyone. I understand the struggles we all faced. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Jojo is apart of my family, please help me get him better and home where he belongs.
