My name is Valeria Patiño Rincón and I live in Maracaibo, Venezuela. I am the mother of a beautiful two-year-old boy, Jesús Andrés.

On December 31st, when I was leaving work, a drunk driver hit the motorcycle taxi I was riding, sending me flying through the air and landing against the windshield (which I smashed with my head), then crashing my face into the asphalt.

As a result of the accident, in addition to generalized trauma and a head wound that required stitches, I suffered multiple fractures in my jaw. These fractures prevent me from speaking and eating normally (I am on a liquid diet), which has caused my hemoglobin and weight to drop.

I urgently need surgery, and I have already been seen by surgeon Nicolas Solano, but I need your help to pay for the pre- and post-operative treatment and the surgery I need, as well as the costs of my recovery, which will be long.

The whole world knows about the terrible situation Venezuela is going through. Public hospitals don't even have drinking water, and we have the highest inflation rate on the planet. So, family and friends have covered all my expenses so far in private health centers, but the expenses to come exceed their capacity.

The funds will be used to cover surgeries, dental procedures, medications and regular expenses like food and bills, because I won't be able to work for several months.

I just want to get my normal life back, work, laugh, and be able to talk and play with my child.

Mi nombre es Valeria Patiño Rincón y vivo en Maracaibo, Venezuela. Soy la mami de un hermoso niño de dos años, Jesús Andrés.

El 31 de diciembre, cuando salía de trabajar, un conductor borracho embistió la moto taxi en la que me trasladaba, haciéndome volar por los aires y aterrizar contra su parabrisas (el cual rompí con mi cabeza), para luego estrellar mi cara contra el asfalto.

Como resultado del accidente, además de traumatismos generalizados y una herida en la cabeza que requirió sutura, sufrí múltiples fracturas en la mandíbula. Estas fracturas me impiden hablar y comer normalmente (estoy sometida a dieta líquida), lo que ha causado que mi hemoglobina y mi peso bajen.

Necesito urgentemente una cirugía, y ya me atendió el cirujano Nicolas Solano, pero requiero de tu ayuda para costear el tratamiento pre y post operatorio y la cirugía que necesito, así como los gastos de mi recuperación, que será larga.

El mundo entero sabe de la terrible situación que atraviesa Venezuela, los hospitales públicos no tienen ni agua potable y tenemos la inflación más alta del planeta, así que familiares y amigos han cubierto todos mis gastos hasta ahora en centros de salud privados, pero los gastos por venir exceden su capacidad.

Los fondos serán usados para cubrir el pago de las cirugías, procedimientos dentales, medicamentos, y gastos comunes como alimentos y necesidades básicas, ya que no podré trabajar por varios meses.

Yo solo quiero recuperar mi vida normal, trabajar, reír y poder hablar y jugar con mi niño.
