This GoFundMe is to provide relief for the BEST DOG MAMA as she recovers from the shock and financial blow of THE TERRIBLE NERF INCIDENT.
If you have a happy and curious dog, you’ve probably worried about that occasional belly ache that COULD mean that your pup has ingested something ALIEN. Maybe you worry about the smelly socks or the old stuffed animals. I have a friend who’s dog eats underwear. And my Huckleberry would eat all the stick in the forest if I’d let him. And none of this is good for dog bellies.

Of course the scariest part of having a dog who eats alien things is wondering if the thing that went IN will easily (or ever) come OUT. Well that dread that we all feel around that question was answered in the very worst way for Jenny over Lucy.
The deliciously squishy mini Nerf Ball that has lately been the favorite appetizer of the always extra-hungry Lucy became the subject of an epic intestinal event that, without exaggerating, nearly cost Lucy her life and Jenny her sanity. And in addition to the physical suffering of Lucy and the emotional suffering of Jenny, the life-saving care for this nerf event cost as much as a frickin’ CAR.

Add to that a very awful year of Covid-restricted income for a great massage therapist who’s industry was particularly hard-hit this past year ... and it’s a perfect storm of stress and financial hardship on the shoulders of one of the sweetest people we all know.
So I’m writing this to all of you - dear friends of Jenny and dog-loving friends of mine — in the hope that if all of us share a few bucks into the Terrible Nerf Incident Collection Fund ... we can at least reduce the considerable stress of a deeply good dog mama me friend .... and maybe even make some good karma for ourselves with regard to our own dogs and what they HOPEFULLY won’t ever consume.
If you’ve got a whole lot of dog love, a few extra bucks and a feeling of compassion/concern over exactly this particularly predicament happening with your own dog ... please jump in to help. I am 100% sure that Jenny would do the same for all of you.
Let’s take some of the burden from her strong shoulders.

Thanks in advance with all my big dog-lovin’ heart,
Jess
