Every tarot reader needs this deck - You can make it a reality.
For more than 12 years, respected authors and accomplished tarot readers, Lisa & Anton Stewart, have been working on a breakthrough development of the classic Rider Waite Smith deck which reveals the key to a deeper understanding of the minor arcana.
What do you mean by that?
This deck shows that the major arcana represent the physical cycle, or somatic experience, of our incarnation - life, death, and rebirth, while the minor arcana represent our psyche, emotions, and the way in which we perceive and navigate our incarnation.
How so?
The major arcana depict the path of the sun; the celestial orb from which all life emanates, while the minor arcana represent the path of the moon; the celestial orb that influences the psyche.
Why is it important?
It’s long been thought that the minor arcana held a higher meaning, that would raise them to the same significance as the major arcana; A. E. Waite even said so himself in his ‘Key to The Tarot’. Rather than another regurgitation of the Rider Waite Smith deck, this revelatory work rediscovers an ancient astronomical/astrological system that has been hiding in plain sight; a lunar almanac known as the Mansions of The Moon.
Who came up with this idea?
Primarily the work of Pamela Coleman Smith, the artist whom A. E. Waite gave free hand to illustrate the minor arcana in any manner she wished, this hidden meaning was rediscovered by life-long student of the tarot, Lisa Stewart, who along with her husband, Anton Stewart, strived to unlock the secrets lying within the cards. Working with the talented artist, Dave Field, they have subtly reworked Pamela Coleman Smith’s imagery to highlight and accentuate key visual clues while preserving the essence and nature of the original deck.
What do you want from me?
Putting it bluntly, your money. Whether you can afford to give an almost indecent amount, or only a few bucks, it's all hugely important as it's going to cost a pretty penny to make this project a reality. Sure, we could save a bunch of money and have it printed overseas, but it's more than likely to be bootlegged and we'd feel much better keeping things local.
We have decided to work with a local printing company. One who's big enough to offer the capability we need, yet small enough to care. And close enough we can visit in person and actually pick up the finished product, so we don't pay a fortune in shipping.
As you can imagine the price for printing 1000 decks (with pamphlet), 1000 full color coffee table books, and 1000 boxed sets (deck and book set) is pretty crazy.
This is why we need your help to reach our goal.
Chip in... Make something amazing happen while supporting local business and artists.
Do good - feel good.
Thank you.
