Jake Hewitt, a former (never former in the USMC) US Marine and Vietnam Veteran from Sylvan Beach is battling a very Aggressive Cancer. Jake a graduate of Oneida High School and his wife Joanne (Clarke) Hewitt a graduate from Camden High School are lifetime residents of Sylvan Beach. Jake is a lifetime member of the American Legion, something he holds close to his heart. Jake and Joanne have always been there to support our community and now its our turn to support them. If you can find it in your hearts to donate to help offset the unexpected financial expenses currently being incurred, it would be greatly appreciated, if you can't donate we ask that you please pray for Jake and his beautiful wife Joanne and their family as they battle this devastating disease.
