Hello to my family, friends and supporters….

My name is Ron Triebels. I am 71 years old and was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer in June of 2024. I was told that I would need a bone marrow transplant to survive.

I started chemotherapy immediately while waiting for a donor match. After eight months of treatment, my body and immune system began to deteriorate. Still, there was no donor match to be found. I deemed it necessary to search for alternative cures. My daughter-in-law helped me to find the Maharaj Institute in Florida - known for treating blood cancers such as mine (MDS & leukemia). Their success rate gave me hope. After three months of treatment, 99% of the cancer stem cells have been wiped out. Only .7% of one cell is still left.

I am told I need two more rounds of the treatment to eradicate this final cancer cell. My journey has been challenging; I need your support to navigate this last part.

My medical expenses have been significant, as I have spent over $180,000 thus far due to the fact that these treatments are not covered by medical insurance. The out-of-state living costs also added to my expenses. Needless to say, I was not expecting to need two additional rounds of treatment; and my funds are getting low.

I am reaching out to ask for your help to cover these final treatments (injections, blood work, etc.) The funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used for medical expenses (medications, blood work, travel to appointments.) Your support will make a real difference in my ability to focus my battle on my cancer; every dollar will be used to fight this last bit of cancer left in my body.

On a more personal side: Since being diagnosed with cancer, I have met many other cancer patients who are frightened to deal with this monster. I have made myself available to speak to many of them about keeping a positive attitude. I have encouraged them to learn about their type of cancer, to eat the right foods to starve the cancer, and to take the necessary vitamins to keep their immune system strong while enduring their treatments. I feel a strong need to play a role in educating my cancer sisters and brothers.
