Please Join Me to Help Ms. Hall Rebuild Her Home!
If you’ve ever been to Anna Blakiston Day School (A. B. Day) in the past 9 years, then you know just how special this talented teacher and woman is! Ms. Michelle Hall is not just the Middle Year’s Math Teacher, she is one of the “Cheerleaders” of the A. B. Day Spirit for both our students and our faculty. A consummate educator and life-long learner, Ms. Hall has carried that “Intangible Spirit” from her years as a Girls’ High Alumna and imbeds it into everything that she does to enhance the educational experience for both her students and her peers. She is by far one of the most supportive, professional, and giving educators produced by our own Philadelphia public school system. So, when I heard that she lost EVERYTHING on September 1, 2021, during the remnants of Hurricane Ida, it absolutely broke my heart, and I had to do something to try and help this dutiful “Community Service Soldier” who, without hesitation, always helps, mentors, and celebrates me and others when needed.
Your contribution will help Ms. Hall replenish all that she lost in the storm that flooded her home. EVERYTHING from her home furnishings; kitchen items; electronics; clothing; food and supplies; linens and home accessories...school supplies...EVERYTHING and she needs these things as soon as possible! As her colleague, I've seen Ms. Hall give from her personal finances whatever she could afford to others when the storms of life have challenged those around her and I have yet to see her turn away when the call was made to lend a helping hand. This time, the call is being made to lend a hand to help her and I pray that call does not go unanswered.
Therefore…I’m calling to all past, present, and even future “Tigers” of A. B. Day School…”Gazelles” of Girls High…attendees of the “Gear Up” summer training program…members of the Mt. Airy Community (because her efforts have positively affected our neighborhood) …church members… past co-workers…friends…colleagues…or anyone who has the same giving spirit and understands the devastation of losing everything in a moment’s notice, please give whatever you can to assure my beautiful Sister-in Christ and Team-Partner that she does not stand alone. Every year, Ms. Hall is voted by the 8th grade class as the teacher who is... "The Most Loved"..."The Teacher That Will Be Missed The Most" and "The Teacher Who Gives The Best Incentives To Learn". Let's put those votes into action! Please show Ms. Hall that she does not stand alone; and, that all the positive seeds of caring and community that she has planted all these years has produced good fruit and has yielded a plentiful and tangible harvest in her life’s work.
