Please Join Me In Supporting John Lowry In This Time of Need

Hello. My name is Mark Reinhardt. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and now live in San Diego. I've been blessed to have so many wonderful friends over my 60 years around the sun. One friend in particular, John Lowry, needs our help.

John was living directly in the path of Hurricane Helene and has literally lost everything. His house (a manufactured trailer) has been condemned by FEMA and state officials and is a total loss. Before the storm hit, John managed to move as many of his valuables (tools, mementos, clothing, medicines, papers, etc.) into his vehicle, which he moved to higher ground. Unfortunately, no one predicted the extreme storm surge, and the vehicle was also totally submerged. He has now lost everything he owns. John works as a handyman and he's now literally lost all the tools of his trade in the sum of $3,000.

Neither his home nor his vehicle was insured for catastrophic storm coverage. John has been working diligently to qualify for some emergency aid from FEMA, the State of Florida and the Red Cross, but has yet to get anything in terms of aid or assistance. Fortunately, he is currently safe, living temporarily with a friend in North Carolina, who is providing secure shelter while John methodically tries to deal with this tragedy. John will not be returning to live in Florida. His plans for the future, like the unfortunate reality of his life right now, are scattered in the unknown and chaos.

In addition to his penurious situation, to make matters worse, John is in extremely poor health. One week before Helene hit, John was released from a two-week hospitalization after suffering from pneumonia; in the past several months he lost more than 30 pounds. John has also battled Crohn's Disease for most of his adult life and was just diagnosed with diabetes.

I've known John for 45 years. We, along with many of my Facebook friends, grew up together in Las Vegas, just a few streets away from each other near the original Bishop Gorman High School. He has always been one of the most genuine human beings I've known and has also been genuinely generous with his time, talents, and money. He has always given more than he has received. Although it pains him to do so, he is now asking for help.

If you know John, you know what type of person he is; please help him. If you don't know John, please know that any degree of generosity you can show will be most appreciated. Please help us get John back on the road to good health and restoration.

With sincere gratitude,

Mark Reinhardt
