I am earnestly seeking any form of tuition assistance that may be available to me during this extremely challenging time.

I am an international student at Drexel University in my final year of pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics.

However, since the loss of my grandparents (who were my sole guardians as well as the cosigners for my student loans), I have been struggling to cover my academic expenses. I have exhausted all my options and, beyond the emotional impact that their passing had on me, I have no other resources to tap into.

As I embark on the last year of my studies, I am seeking any sort of support, aid, etc. that may be available to me. I am currently unregistered for the upcoming quarter due to a financial hold on my account amidst my situations. In light of this, I have deeply considered going back home to Jamaica. However, this is truly not an option for me. The severe homophobia on the island would result in my demise.

I have also considered taking a term off in efforts to labor and garner funds, but this option is also not feasible. This is because I currently serve the Drexel community as an RA. This role has aided me with secure housing since the passing of my grandparents. Without it, I would be homeless. If I were to take a term off, I would fail to meet the requirements of said position. Therefore, resulting in my homelessness.

I genuinely feel exhausted. I have no other options and I am at cusp of completing my degree. I am fervently beseeching your support on this final lap of my collegiate journey. Please let me know if there is anything that you, your office, a colleague, etc. can do to help. I am willing/able to meet, provide additional context, as well as proof of my circumstances.
