Hello, my name is Cecilia. I’m starting this GoFundMe for my parents. They were detained by ICE on January 12 at 6:30 am, in IGH MN about 20 minutes from downtown St. Paul.

Let me tell you about them. They are hardworking people, just like a lot of people they came here looking for ‘the American dream’. They worked so hard they were able to start their own cleaning business and expand it. With that, they made a lot of great connections and friends. Anyone who knew my parents knows they are caring people that just wanted to work and spend time with their family. I can’t tell you the last day my parents took off work. Their resilience is unmatched; the mindset that they carry was passed down to us, and for that, I’m so grateful.

Id like to add that after years of working with immigration lawyers, and thousands of dollars spent, they were 1 approval away from getting their residency.

Please help us bring them home.

The more we talk to lawyers, the more stressed out we become financially, since it is just me and my two younger sisters right now taking the foot of the bill. We are asking for help with lawyer fees from our communities and people that are able to help. We don’t know what could happen next and are scared since they’re leaving behind three daughters and a grandson that they love and care about.
