Sick Sam

Hi. My name is Samantha (Sam). I woke up October 23, 2019 feeling extremely ill and I have been everyday since. I have been diagnosed with POTS: in simple terms, I am basically allergic to sitting up, standing and walking. I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, EDS and Chronic Pain Syndrome. I went from being a nurse to being nursed myself. My career/calling as a RN was abruptly stopped that day- breaking my heart; destroying future career dreams; causing pain, constant worry and anxiety for my three beautiful children and amazing husband; breaking the bank. I have already been denied Social Security Disability once and I am in the process of a Redetermination. It truly is heart wrenching seeing people that are on disability out enjoying activities and I am confined 95% of the time to my bed or recliner. I have had to take out my entire 401k just for us to pay SOME bills; I worked so hard to get that money in my account. I never in a million years would have thought I would create a fundraiser for my family and me…I was always the one starting one or doing what I could for any person who came to me. I feel humiliated and hopeless but I have to ask for help for my babies. It is not their fault their Momma got sick and they too have to suffer mentally and financially.
