Please help Zach and his family

I have started this fundraiser as a result of a tragic situation for my brother Zach.  On Memorial Day his wife Deanna suffered a nearly fatal stroke. While sick with (we think) food poisoning she had an internal bleed that caused a blood clot that traveled to her brain. The doctor's removed a large part of her skull to relieve the swelling and told Zach that the stroke should have killed her. It did not. She lost 1/3 of her brain activity including her communication but miraculously she has recovered her speech, memory and can still read. The right side of her body is paralyzed.  Zach was told that she may never leave the hospital and if so it wouldn't be for a year at best but over the last few weeks she has made great strides in her recovery and the doctors have set a release date of June 20th!!! She has astounded the medical staff with the progress she has made and continues to make.  Zach is being very positive and their 3 kids are handling things well so far. They all face many struggles up ahead but for now they are happy with the daily progress they are seeing. Talking with my brother during this unimaginably difficult time reminded me of what an amazing, strong, hard-working, loving family man he is.  I am devastated for him and his family but so proud of how he is handling everything. His community has really come together to support him and he said he has had meals made and delivered by friends every night and therapists set up at the school for his kids.  He is certainly surrounded by a great community!

Deanna has been in the hospital since she had her stroke and was in the ICU for a large part of that time so Zach is anticipating some incredibly large medical bills.  Due to her condition she is required to have 24 hour care so Zach is taking a few months off of work to be her caregiver and of course take care of their 3 children.  As if those expenses weren't hefty enough he also needs to make some improvements to his home so that it is wheelchair accessible before she returns!  Through this fundraiser I hope to at least get him started on paying medical bills and hopefully replace the income he will be missing while he is home caring for his family.  

Due to Deanna's release date of June 20th (1 week away!) he is in need of help soon.  My goal is to have 1/3 of his goal reached by the time she comes home so his financial burden will be lightened and he can focus on helping her heal.
