Life definitely hit like a ton of bricks this year. What started out as a misdiagnosis of stomach ulcers has turn into a family's worst fear. Yazmin was diagnosed with uterine cancer in October. A diagnosis most 32 year olds don't hear. Before the cancer can even be handled, it was also discovered that she had a very serious infection in her abdomen. It was caused by a ruptured appendix and discharge from the aforementioned. A few extended hospital stays later, the infection has begun to clear. She is currently still on at home IVs. She isn't able to start treatment until the infection is cleared. Work has been out of the question. Two months and counting. With no options to do so for AT LEAST the next few months. Between that, and her husband taking time off to help her at home, grip on money for life necessities is starting to loosen. 

The surgeon's recommendation is a full blown hysterectomy. Yazmin and her husband have been working tirelessly to carve out their own piece of life. But starting a family is something they were going to begin in the next year. Adoption is a possibility but they would like the option of surrogacy for the first go round.
