Hello,

On Mon, Jun 19th I read a story on the Next Door App about an abandoned dog who was left outside in this Texas heat. She was starving, dehydrated and completely emaciated. She could hardly hold herself up to potty.

I cried all day when I read it, she completely stole my heart and I had to save her. I picked her up Monday afternoon and took her straight to the vet. The vet did blood work, she received all vaccines, they cut her long curled toenails & cleaned her ears. She is being treated for a double ear infection and is eating Science Diet puppy food until she gets her weight back. I have named her Ruby.

Ruby is a beautiful Blood Hound & the vet thinks she is around 8 yrs old. She currently weighs 42 lbs but will probably weigh around 55 lbs when she's healthy.

Once she is healthy enough she will need to get her teeth cleaned with possible extractions as well as 2 tumors removed. One on the front of the inside of her lip (see pic attached) and the other on her leg.

Ruby is going back to the vet tomorrow for a possible UTI.

Monday the vet cost $389.22

Her dental work and tumor removal are projected to cost between $870 - $1070.

Ruby and I will be furever grateful if you can donate anything to help cover the cost of these expenses and her necessities.
