Please Help Medical Costs for Scott's turtle Sammy
Donation protected
1-min intro vid:
Hello, friends, my first GoFundMe, but my 13-year-old red-eared slider turtle Sammy has come down with pneumonia, and barely made out (alive) of Monday and Tuesday in Urgent Care at ACCESS Los Angeles Specialty Animal Hospital in Culver City.
Today, the doctor said he's made his first improvements and just might make it, but Sammy's going to need additional care and some new specialized care at home from me for a bit.
This wonderful specialized care is not super expensive, but it's also not cheap, and it's quickly adding up, to where all the hard work I've done to save some money (aren't we all) is now eroding very quickly, and I am reaching out to all my friends and family for help.
Sammy is such a great, deep and resilient animal. So tranquil, peaceful and curious, and then if you drop some goldfish in his tank (which I do on occasion), he's instantly a ruthless predator!
I want Sammy to survive, recover and thrive, yet at the same time, I don't want to go broke making that happen. So please donate whatever you can; I've already spent $3,000 on (1) x-rays ["Did Sammy swallow a rock?"], (2) bloodwork, (3) IV fluids and (4) hospital care... and it's looking like upwards of $5,000 when it's all said and done.

Love and health for Sammy...
