My name is Heather, and I am lucky to be this sweet girl's aunt! Jessa is four years old and has had a rough start to her precious life. Jessa was born with a bicuspid aortic valve with stenosis. The first surgery to repair her heart was unsuccessful as she continues to have chest pain and other heart-related issues. In addition to this serious condition, Jessa was also diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos, a connective tissue disorder that further complicates her surgery.

Jessa and her family are getting ready to have her second heart surgery on December 8th. Complicating matters further, the only doctor willing to do Jessa’s surgery is in Boston, thousands of miles away from her family’s support. With the Covid protocols, Jessa and her parents must be in Boston for a week before surgery and then Jessa will be in recovery for at least two weeks. The doctors advised that they will likely be in Boston from December 1st through at least December 23rd.

As you can imagine traveling across the country during the holidays, finding a rental for three weeks, food, transportation, loss of income, and so many expenses will be costly. These expenses do not include finding care for their other two children during this time.

Any donations to help the family’s financial burden during this time would be greatly appreciated and a blessing. That way, Jessa’s parents can focus solely on her surgery and recovery. Prayers for a successful surgery and grace over the experience would be appreciated by all, whether or not there is extra money to give.
