Hi I am Suedes Mom my name is Shyanne. We are wanting to raise money to help pay for all Suedes medical bills. Jacob Suedes Dad works and I am a stay at home Mom. This is our story of what is going on with our baby boy. Monday, March 18th our owlet sock went off and alarmed us Suede has low oxygen and it started dropping dramatically. I checked on him and his lips were blue, then I picked him up brought him outside to try to snap him out of it. It took awhile of us trying to stimulate and get him to come to. Then we decided to drive to the hospital. When we got there they decided to keep suede and monitor him for a few hours we were then sent home. Two days later Wednesday, March 20th at 12:20 am Jacob (Dad)was holding Suede, and we were getting ready to put him down for bed. Then he said Shy (Mom) Suede looks weird and his lips look blue and I went to look and him and his lips were blue, and he was dozing off and just limp. He was struggling to breathe and gasping. I ran downstairs and My Mom and Jacob were trying to stimulate him until the ambulance got there. He eventually came to it just took a while. Then we were transported via ambulance to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. When we got to the Emergency Room they decided to monitor some more and run some test. They did a basic blood work test and a viral infection swab. They said he tested positive for Covid. Then Thursday 21st around 4am he was awake cooing and smiling, and he had another episode and the Er doctors ran in and bagged him with oxygen until his color went back to normal, and he came to. It took them about 1 minute. Then again on that same day he had another episode around 8am and same thing they had to bag him and get him to come to that one lasted about a minute and a half. He gets really lethargic after these episodes. Then after while he feels better and back to himself. They did a head ultrasound and everything came back normal. They also took some blood for the blood culture test. So far nothing has grown and everything is normal. Then they put him on oxygen and gave him preventative medication for any infection. Friday the 22nd Suede didn’t have any episodes and had a good day smiling and cooing. Then Saturday the 23rd came, and he still did not have any episodes they were considering releasing us. I told them please don’t release us until it’s been over 48 hours because that first time he had an episode after 48 hours. Then they continued to monitor him, and he was still doing pretty good. They decided to take him off the oxygen to see how he does. Then Sunday the 24th at 7am he had another episode a bad one. His lips were very purple, and they bagged him it took longer though. This one lasted about 2 minutes. He was gasping a little and was floppy. He always stairs blankly to the right. Then after that episode they decided to put him on high flow oxygen. The doctor came into talk to me and said Suede is going to have to be life flighted to Salt Lake City PICU. Then around 10:30 am it happened again it was bad his oxygen dropped down to 40 and heart rate 70. Twelve doctors came in and were bagging him and listening to his lungs. It took them about 2 minutes. This is so hard for me to see my baby lifeless. I was just holding him, and he was kicking his little legs and smiling at me. Then out of nowhere it happened. Then we were told we need to be ready to leave at 2. So at 2 the ambulance crew came in and got me and Suede situated. We took the ambulance to the Bozeman private airport and was then put on the life flight jet. Suede did pretty good on the flight besides his oxygen dropping a little. The life flight crew turned up his high flow oxygen, and then he was good. Then when we arrived in Salt Lake City we were transported via ambulance to the PICU at primary children’s hospital. When we got to the PICU they rushed him back and did an evaluation on him and hooked him up to all the monitors. Then at 4:30 pm Suede had another episode while they were hooking him up his lips turned blue, and they bagged him and were listening to his lungs and trying to get him to come to. He did and they were talking about there next step. So they did some labs for infection. Then the neurologist team came in and hooked him up to the EEG. After he got all hooked up they took some more labs for vitamin levels. Then they took him back and did a ct scan on his head. Then they did a chest xray. Everything came back normal. The next day Monday the 25th Suede had more test done. He had an MRI on his head and had to be put under for that. Everything came back normal. Then later that day he had a lumbar puncture, and they took some fluids out to rule out meningitis. Then they just did some more bloodwork poor little baby hates it so much. He screams with everything in him and it breaks my heart. Then they also tested Suede again, and he tested negative for Covid. Then Tuesday, March 26th Suede graduated from the PICU and was moved to another room upstairs. He finally got to breast-feed. He did Very well and had no episodes until later in the day he had a small quick episode but came to fairly fast. They did some more blood work. Then the doctors did rounds and came to talk to us about everything. They told us everything was coming back negative and that they’re gonna leave the EEG on for another 24 hours. These episodes with suede they believe are seizures. They said it’s just a waiting game until we find some answers because everything is coming back normal and healthy. Thank you for listening to our story about our sweet baby boy. I will update when I can. Anything helps❤️
