Thank you so much for clicking on this page. Just taking the time to read this means a lot, thank you ❤️

This isn't an easy thing for me to do when it comes to asking for help, but when it involves one of my dogs, aka my children, I will try to do whatever it takes to make sure they get the care they need when they need it. Recently, my best friend of 11 years, Optimus, who I've had since he was 6 months old, was in some discomfort after coming in from going to the potty. It was a normal day, same routine. Optimus ate, he went out to potty, quickly came back in, but the difference today, rather than a normal day, was he just all of a sudden stopped. He just stood completely still in the kitchen like a statue. I tried at first getting him to take a treat or lay down, but he wouldn't budge at all. I immediately knew something was wrong. This dog means the world to me, so I immediately took him to the E.R. Care Veterinary in Frederick, MD. These boys are my kids. I'll do whatever I can to make sure they get the care they deserve. I took him to CARE in Frederick, and they treated my boy very well. I was very happy, or as happy as I could be, given the circumstances. Eventually, I was given his diagnosis.

The diagnosis is a Hemoabdomen - it's a condition in which there is a source of internal bleeding within the abdominal cavity. In his case, it's either a tumor on his liver or spleen, and the most common type of tumor that affects the spleen/liver that bleeds similar to Optimus is called a Hemangiosarcoma, and it's spread through the blood vessels. I have made sure to attach the case summary. The only way to determine what it is exactly would be surgery, and that's shown along with more details in the pictures above. They aren't saying it is cancer, but they aren't saying it isn't. Surgery would be the only way they can determine that, and that's a whole other conversation for another day. It's hard just typing this dog is my best friend we've been through everything together so I apologize if it seems short just hard to talk about. I told the doctors to be honest with me about if he would be okay coming home, and they said yes and sent him home with meds: Yunnan Baiyao - given to help stop the bleeding, and Gabapentin for pain when needed.

This brings me to why I'm asking for help. I am asking for donations to help cover the recent Emergency Vet bill (pictured above) for Optimus just so I could put the money right back into the boys. This visit took all I had, $1,500, and I'm just asking for $1,000 to put back in the account. I just want to have something in case there's another emergency now that I know what the problem is.

I recently overcame homelessness. This was a years-long battle and continues to be a daily struggle to this day, but I'm working 7 days a week, and it's still a struggle getting back on my feet. Optimus was every bit worth it, and I want to make sure I have something in case of emergency but for a future check-up if needed. If it was just me, I wouldn't worry about it, but to have back most of the money I had saved in case of emergency would help out so much. Thank you so much again for taking the time to read this, and please consider sharing if anything. It means so much.

I would truly appreciate anything that anyone could donate, no matter how small, to help ease the burden of this debt and allow me to follow up on care for Optimus. I also appreciate you sharing this page with your followers for me. Thank you so much.
