Please help with medical expenses and repairs

Hi all,

I recently went to the dentist with an abscessed tooth and the cost of extraction was over $400. It was a wisdom tooth that they had to pull. They did the work, but my mom and I could not afford that kind of emergency during this hard 5 week social security month. I will also need a large cavity filled and a full cleaning, which is estimated at $200 each. I have Medicaid, which is not taken by my dentist. And I don’t trust the few dentists around here that take my insurance.

The downstairs toilet broke and caused both water issues and a non flushing toilet. My water bill doubled because of it. It appears there are multiple issues. A plumber would cost at least $200. My mom is older and a low income widow and can’t get up the stairs well.

I still worry about my mom’s future. The house is in foreclosure. It needs more and more repairs. She really needs to go to a more suitable place anyway, but with the foreclosure, the mortgage amount due has accumulated so high that it would be hard to make the money she needs for a fresh start. I am disabled and can’t help like I want to. Have applied for disability. We have no relatives that live near us. The current house is really too much for both of us and she is too low income to afford rent. Am looking into subsidized housing, but there would still be costs. I am not including moving costs in the goal since I have yet to estimate those costs, but if you would keep this in mind when donating, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks to all of you very much for listening.
