Please help with Logan's road to recovery.

Hello, we are Brittany & Rachel - Logan's mother and fiance. On October 11th 2022 Logan was in a terrible motorcycle accident on SR44 in Deland, Florida. He was on his way home, when a lady did an illegal U-turn after missing her left hand turn and she was attempting to back up from the grass shoulder to get back into the road and that is when Logan was struck by the chevy truck. He was ejected from his bike and EMS was called by bystanders that had witnessed the scene. Upon arrival of EMS Logan was concious and talking to the medical staff, but it was very apartment of the swelling he had. He later had to be airlifted to ORMC because of the amount of air in his chest cavity.

Logan was intubated upon arrival to ORMC trauma secondary to his fluid build up in the medialsteniam area and his back. Logan was tripoding which means he was arching his back trying to be able to breathe. He did not want to be intubated as he was so afraid to be trached again. Logan fought them but they found themselves in a dire situation of his air way closing off and not being able to intubate him. They did intubate him and sedated him by putting him into a medically induced coma. Logan has respiratory emphysema and that means he is leaking fluid from his lungs into the tissue in his body. They are going to put a feeding tube in today. He also suffered from a pneumothorax and has two chest tubes in place. Logan is scheduled to go to the OR tomorrow to explore why he has all of this air trapped under his skin and dependent on what they find Logan will have been trached and receive a feeding tube at this time. This is not a decision I take lightly as Logan has been trached in the past and he did not want to ever be trached again. So I am sitting with this dilema of having to decide whether to have him be trached or to let nature take its course. A position that a mother never wants to be put in. Do I follow my son's wishes or do I save his life so his 3 children can have their father.

Logan has had an extremely difficult day as he realized he was in an accident and in the hospital. His blood pressure started to elevate to a dangerous level so they sedated him again. Logan got very ill and vomited around the ventilator tube so they resedated him again.
Logan has a very long road ahead of him to recover. Unfortunately the driver who was at fault was driving someone esle's vehicle and they only had a $10,000 liability coverage policy and the payoff on his bike is $21,000 and the bike is in my name because, I financed the bike for Logan for his birthday. I am more concerned with how Logan is going to support his family and pay for his medical bills since he is uninsured and just started a new job. If you could find it in your heart to donate whatever amount to this go fund me account. Please we do not what to ask for help but we are at a loss for what to do at this time. Please help Logan on his road to recovery.

Logan is a loving father of 3 beautiful children Kashton (3) Karston (2) and Kyelinn (who will be one on October 15th, 2022) We had a birthday planned for our princess, but we will push it off until daddy can be there to celebrate with us. Logan loves his children unconditionally and they are all his pride and joy. Logan has always been a hard worker who has supported his family. He just recently put down on a house for us, which we are in the process of fixing up at the moment. There are still some things we have not been able to complete since all of this happened and will have to be pushed off until we figure more out with logan. Again, he does NOT have health insurance and logan's income for our family is a big ordeal for our bills and providing our everyday necessities

We really need the communities help, we don't like to ask for anything but we really need it at this time, even if you can't donate, please share around the community. We will be putting donation jars at the local bike events we attend for Logan, so if you see it please do what you can even if that's sending a prayer for his recovery.

thank you
