On Wednesday 19th of November our beautiful boy became unwell with vomiting and lethargy requiring us to take him to the vet.

We took him to Vets for Pets Corstorphine who gave him meds and sent us home.

However later the same day Finn deteriorated further and was very poorly, requiring us to go back to Vets for Pets, who then sent us straight to an out-of-hours vets.

Both vets did examinations and ran tests, thinking Finn had pancreatitis. After sedation and X-rays they suspected Finn had a blockage somewhere.

Further tests discovered a foreign object within his small intestine which was removed surgically by the veterinarian.

Finn is still at the vets, and is on fluids and painkillers currently.

Our pet insurance company is refusing to cover the full bill (currently sitting in the thousands, but will rise) and saying they’ll only pay £1000 as they don’t agree with the price breakdown of the vet visits! Despite this not being stated anywhere in the policy or we would never have gone with this insurer.

We desperately need help towards the outstanding vet costs so we can bring our Finn home to convalesce with us.

Any help would be so much appreciated.

We will also be taking the matter further with the pet insurance company.
