Please help with emergency medical treatment

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I can't believe I'm sitting here making a GoFundMe. I'm writing for my dear friends Si, short for his middle name Simon. He was born into poverty. He worked hard his whole life to escape that poverty. He's always had a love for cars so he put himself through school to learn everything he could. He got license and certified and began working for local shops. He's known all around the area for helping low income people help fix their cars. He's the guy in the neighborhood that'll give you the shirt off his back. He worked in different shops for years, mastering his trade. Then one day his dream came true, the chance to be part owner of his own shop. He worked hard to make the shop prosperous and then one day tragedy struck. A perfectly healthy 38-year-old man had a stroke. His whole life changed in an instant. He had no idea while he was learning to talk, walk, and feed himself again that his business partner would use this opportunity to push him out of the business. He lost everything during his recovery. He still suffering terribly and isn't recovering the way doctor said he should. He was hospitalized again and told he has a blood clot in his brain. The hospital chose not to operate because of the size of the blood clot. Surgery was too risky. Don't worry they said! There's a medication that can help! It's just not available to hospitals. They knew he had no insurance. They knew the man had to struggle choosing between eating or taking his medication at times. Struggling just to have a roof over his head. He never dreamed he would even have to apply for disability. He definitely can't afford an attorney to even start the application process and he's in no shape to even attempt himself. The hospital gave him a referral to a clinic in Boca Raton to see specialists in neurology. He can't drive but he made sure to get to that appointment on time in Boca Raton. The doctor's examined him and already had reviewed his files. We can help you no problem they say! They specialize in stroke patients and the medication they have is only one shot and will dissolve the blood clot entirely. They regularly perform this procedure and always have positive results. They checked their schedule and say they can fit them in soon. The shot itself cost $9,000 plus maybe some tax and of course a few clinic fees. How would you like to pay sir? Hey of course explains the situation but they tell him payment must be made in full before treatment. There is no payment plans. There is no making a deposit and paying it off. Not even if someone with perfect credit cosigned for him. Payment must be made in full. Of course he doesn't have over $9,000 for this treatment. I know times are tough for everyone. I myself have medical issues I can't afford treatment for. I just think it's absolutely cruel to dangle relief, to dangle a cure in his face knowing he cannot pay for it. The hospital should not have given him hope and not send him all that way just to be embarrassed and heartbroken. I'm ashamed to ask but if anyone can donate anything please help. If everyone donated $1 he would have the money in no time. There is no donation to little. Every penny is a blessing. With every passing minute it just makes things harder. I myself have nothing to donate but figured the least I could do was ask for help. Hope this poor man start a GoFundMe. Even if no one reads this at least I tried. At least I asked. We have absolutely no problem giving the name of the clinic, the name of the hospital that treated and referred him to the clinic, and all the documentation. I know lots of people come on here begging just to beg. Anything for a quick buck. I honestly wish that were the case. This is very real. This is very scary. This is an emergency.
