I'm trying my best! Will you help me...
My Dear Friends,
In 2017, I moved to Los Angeles in a bold act of compassion, faith and justice being led by the Lord to bring help and hope to as many as I could that were homeless living on Skid Row in Los Angeles.
For over 3.5 years, I have faithfully endeavored to bring help, healing and hope to the Skid Row region. Myself along with a small team have become the only family, only church, or even friends that some of these hurting people currently have. We've invited them into our homes. Provided many with tents, food, phones, clothing and other resources. We've shared the love of Jesus and encouraged them to believe in themselves again. Encouraging them know that they have a greater purpose and that God has not given up on them! We have gone to court for individuals and sought to get some into in programs. We have brought hope and healing to many who have come back to share personal testimonies.
However, the initial cost of moving to LA to do this work along with the cost of living here was more than I anticipated . I did not have the funds to move to California in 2017 so I came in faith, by putting everything on a credit card to make the bold move. However, I've only been able to pay the monthly minimum payments and so the interest and fees have prevented me from being able to pay this debt off.
I've been faithful, never missing a payment, but this debt just isn't going anywhere. I have been trying to pay methodically with savings and now my savings is dried up from paying the monthly expense. I am caught in a vicious cycle.
I've been blessed with caring donors that have periodically supported me in my work on Skid Row. I've also worked a full time job at the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles to continue in the same vein of ministry and support myself. The mission only paid $2000 a month which wasn't enough for my monthly expenses. I was also very overworked at the mission since we had no volunteers during the pandemic and so I got sick with COVID. When I recovered, I went on a 3 day Esther fast and the Lord led me to quit URM and start my own Marketing Agency to make ends meet. I have been working very hard to secure clients and fulfill my work load. However, so far I've only been able to supplement what I was making at the mission. I haven't done a lot of fundraising and I haven't asked for anything personally from my extended friends and family, but now I need your help.
I'm asking 100 people to donate $100 dollars to help alleviate this financial burden. Will you please help me with a one time donation of $100? If you desire to give more it will only help me to achieve the freedom from this debt quicker. We are going to see change on Skid Row and among the homeless in Los Angeles. I'm excited the Lord has been downloading new major (next step) vision that I look forward to sharing soon.
