Cooper really doesn’t need much of an introduction for those that have ever had the opportunity to meet him. He is truly unforgettable. Unfortunately, he had been hit with IVDD and is requiring emergency surgery. Within 12 hours he lost almost complete use of his hind legs. Cooper is not only my best friend, but he also works really hard as my service dog. I have never asked for help like this in my life, but for him I would do anything. He has helped me through more than he could ever understand in his 4 years of life. Literally anything could truly help us out! We would greatly appreciate it. He deserves the best opportunity for full recovery ❤️

UPDATE:
As of today, Cooper still has not gained any mobility in his back legs. He is also unable to use his bladder on his own. Though it all sounds ominous, this is very common in the days and even weeks that follow IVDD surgery. He will get to come home tomorrow 9/27. They will be training me on how to express his bladder for him and how to use a sling to provide stability, support and to gain mobility. I have been working on trying to purchase all of the necessities for his return home and what life will look like for awhile. These are all added costs on top of the $6800 surgery. I am setting up a "play pen" with a new supportive bed, elevated food and water bowls, lots of blankets for comfort and pee pads for accidents. I am also looking into a dog stroller or wagon for safer transportation for him and so he can still go places. This is going to be a hard and long road but Cooper deserves the world ❤ Thank you to all of you amazing people that have donated, text, called and provided hugs of support. It means so much to me!
