Our Final Toast to Danny Clark

Daniel “Danny” Clark will be remembered for his brilliant mind, his expansive knowledge of everything electronic or mechanical, but most of all, he will be remembered for his gentle spirit, easy-going nature, and loyal friendship.

For locals, if you didn’t know him well on a personal level, chances are you knew him because he fixed something for you. He repaired our refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, lawn mowers, weed trimmers, televisions, cars, and an untold number of electronic items. And he did it for way less than you could get it done elsewhere.

Danny lived a simple life and didn’t have a lot of material possessions, but he had many friends. Now he needs our help.

Even if he did not repair something for you personally, he served us all honorably in the US Army. The cost of a simple burial is more than his earthly possessions, and is an insurmountable burden on his surviving family. His two sons, Lee and David, and their children, represent the remainder of his natural family. However, his Cochran family and friends are many.

In honor of his service to our country and his unceasing help to the citizens of Cochran, we would like to provide a permanent final resting place for Danny in the City of Cochran, Georgia, where he may rest in peace near the friends who loved him dearly.

So now we ask that you help us honor and celebrate Danny’s life by helping him and his family in this time of need. So please give. Tip him for the things he repaired for you, toast his friendship, thank him for his military service, or simply give to help a family in their time of need. We welcome your comments and memories when you post your final toast to Danny. All donations will go to help cover the cost of burial and final expenses.
