Brian Wicks Memorial and Cremation Expenses

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Brandy and I recently lost a dear friend, co worker, and partner in crime in a tragic accident December the 23rd, 2021.

Brian Wicks, 38, of Dexter, MO was struck by a truck at 9:22 pm while he was riding his motorized bike. He was taken to the hospital but later passed away.

Brian lived with his fiance Max Leathers and their dog. He also left behind is his mother, Carol Ellis; 3 daughters, Zoe Hartman, Olivia Wicks, and Aubrey Wicks; 1 granddaughter, Willow Lee, and many more relatives and friends.

Brian was employed at Rhodes 101 Stop and Family Dollar, both in Dexter, MO.

Brian was unique and one of a kind. He had a very charismatic personality and was a stranger to no one. He was friendly, upbeat, and courteous. He could put a smile on my face during my darkest days.

He was passionate about music and appreciated art. He had a tendency to like music that wasn't popular and mainstream and he loved horror movies. He had his own style and looked great wherever he went. From one of his cool hats, all the way down to his brand new, stylish Adidas, he always looked sharp and outstanding, wearing nothing but black attire.

Brian was different, in a good way. He had his own opinion about everything and was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. His beliefs were non-traditional and unorthodox, and he was orginal, and he thought outside the box. He was a leader, not a follower, and he always intrigued me with his thoughts and opinions.

He was open minded and had such a huge heart. He had so many friends because he accepted people for who they were, and was not judgemental at all. He was very funny and witty, and spoke his own lingo, and that was like a magnet that attracted many people his way. His personality was like no other, and he truly made an impact on the lives of so many.

It was Brian's tattoos and clothing style that first drew my attention to him when he came in my work, at Family Dollar. We would small talk as I rang him up at the register and soon we discovered that we had some very unique things in common. I pushed to get him a job there and once he was hired, we became friends right away. I loved the fact that I could be 100% my authentic self with him, he accepted me for who I really was.

He was taken from us way too soon. We are all in shock that this wonderful friend is no longer with us. While we are trying to wrap our heads around this devastation, we have to go thru Christmas and New Years without him. The thought of coming up with the money for cremation cost and a celebration of life ceremony is more than one should have to bare, especially after losing him so tragically just days before Christmas.

So, I am starting this fundraiser to raise money simply for the cremation cost and the memorial for him. Anything I can do to help out Max, Zoe, and the rest of his family would be my pleasure, for Brian was a great friend of mine that I will never forget.

Please find it in your hearts to help out, to make the holidays a little easier for his family and donate anything you can. Anything would be appreciated and nothing is too small. Thank you so much in advance.
