On October 27th my life partner Cinthia was riding an electric bike to work, taking her usual route - a ride that is less than 3 miles from our home. She was struck by a driver making a last minute U-Turn at a 4-way stop sign, and was knocked off the bike, rolling over the hood of the car, finally landing on the street/curb. Her head and shoulder took the brunt of her fall, and she was taken to the hospital immediately. She sustained a serious shoulder injury, a Grade 5 AC Separation - basically all of the ligaments in her left shoulder tore when she hit the curb, making it the most severe injury of it's type. On December 3rd she had surgery to repair her shoulder.
Cinthia has been a dog groomer for the past 10 years and the job requires constant physical activity. She has been unable to work since October 27th and will be out of work until she recovers; the doctors estimate that will be anywhere from late March-May. We are currently surviving off of one income and are struggling to pay bills, which are starting to quickly add up. We are reaching out to our community for help with bills for the next few months while Cinthia recovers. Anything would be beyond appreciated.
Thank you and we love you!
