Please help with Carly’s Cancer Treatments

Hey everyone this is Dylan from the Gowan family and unfortunately over the last week we have received devastating news regarding my younger sister Carly’s health. After loosing our mother in July of last year things have been very rough for the family all of us struggling with mental health issues as well as coping with the loss of our mother. During this time carly had made me and my father aware of pains she was having in her body as well as a hereditary condition she has been dealing with for quite some time. So about 8 days ago I had taken her to riverview medical center to be seen due to her constant growing pain. In the course of the hospitals diagnosis process they had found in her blood somthing that would indicate Leukemia and immediately they had started a plan to do a bone marrow biopsy. The next day she was transferred to Jersey shore medical center where she remains and where they diagnosed her with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) which is one of the most aggressive and fatal types of leukemia there is. Her care team at Jersey shore pushed for her medical coverage as soon as they could but made us aware over the course of her treatment things will start to get costly and we are looking to do our best to prepare for this situation. As of 3/31 she started chemotherapy which she will have to do twice daily for the foreseeable future. As of right now we are still in the early stages of the process but are looking to do our best for Carly to get her prepared to fight her absolute best as she has a 4 year old son finnigan who loves and misses her dearly. We appreciate any and all help and will be posting daily and or weekly updates as we further progress. We as a family weren’t sure the year could possibly get much more of a heartache after losing our mom but now for my sister to be stuck in the hospital hooked up to many ivs and machines doesn’t make things all that pleasant once again we appreciate any and all support we are looking to anything we possibly can to cover Carly’s future expenses while she undergoes treatment and will not be able to obtain a job.
