Please help William recover from Lymphedema.

Hello.

My son has been struggling with an extreme form of lymphedema for the entirety of his adult life.

I can manage to pay his insurance premiums, but it is difficult to afford much else.

His yearly deductible is $2,500, and our out-of-pocket expense not covered is $8,000.

His physician wants him to get his teeth fixed before he will consider surgery.

His reasoning is that bacteria in the mouth is present in the bloodstream.

We do not want any more infection risk than is strictly necessary.

Also, the antibodies may try to attack the future skin grafts.

We have already begun with the repair of cavities in his front teeth.

We scheduled several more to be fixed next month.

He needs two root canals and crowns.

Once the dental work is complete, the surgeon wants a follow-up dye trace in his lower legs to determine the effects of his condition.

Specifically, how much lymphatic fluid is being removed via the lymphatic channels.

This will give us an idea of how much vascular surgery will be required before he begins the de-bulking process.

Finally, we will start the removal of excess skin and grafting new skin into place around his calves and ankles.
