Hello, my name is William and I am 46 years old and this picture was taken today. In November of 2022, I got a PSA test done because my father, great uncle, and grandfather all suffered of prostate cancer. After loosing my father, I had no symptoms, but I knew that it was time to test. Once I received my test results, and what a normal PSA should be, (0 to 4 and anything above) that should be addressed. My results came back 7.2 and I was in denial, so I asked my doctor to submit another PSA test. Seven days later and it came back 7.3. I’ve consulted with a cancer radiologist specialist in December who performed the MRI on me and he stated he thought I had low grade prostate cancer. He stated to wait three months and get another PSA done and if the numbers go higher, then we would need to perform a prostate biopsy. Needless to say, back in March I took another PSA test and it was 8.3. I contacted my urologist and he referred me to the University of Miami urology and I met with a robotic surgeon who stated that a little prostate cancer at my age isn’t a good thing at all and to schedule a biopsy. On May 26th I had my biopsy done, and I received my results. The doctor stated that 5 out of the 16 sticks in my prostate came back cancerous and 1 in particular is an aggressive cancer module. I have been stressed since receiving the news and praying. I am now humbly asking for any support you may be able to provide as cancer treatment is exceedingly expensive. Since the passing of my father and the males on his side of the family, I don’t want to die of cancer. I knew one day I would hear the words “you have prostate cancer”, but I had no idea it would be this soon. Thank you very much for reading about my resent diagnosis and appreciate all your prayers and support.
