Please Help Will Beat Cancer
Hi everyone, my brother Fabio and I, along with all our loved ones are writing to implore your help in funding the costs of cancer treatment for our brother Will Rincon. Will is a caring and loving husband to Margarita and wonderful father to Chaislyn and Brittany and a beloved member of our extended family.
From the age of 5 he told our mom he wanted to be a doctor so he could help people. His passion led him to become a doctor (Dr. William Rincon, DO) where he has served his community for the past 25 years with complete dedication and compassion. Will would love to continue to serve others for many years to come and that is why we need to help him get well soon.
He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in April of 2016 and underwent 6 months of chemo and total removal of his stomach in August of 2016 at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. Doctors gave him a clean bill of health after surgery. However during his follow up this April 2017 he complained of some pain in his abdomen area and doctors decided to run a CT scan and then a biopsy. Two tumors were found and he was told he needed to start treatment again as soon as possible.
Will consulted with his Oncologist who advised him to start treatment right away in our home town of Fort Myers, FL. Chemotherapy did not work for him originally so now he will start an Immunotherapy treatment at the suggestions of his Oncologist. Unfortunately, this treatment is not covered by health insurance and they don’t have the funds needed to cover the costs. He was forced to close his practice for most of 2016 while he was undergoing chemo and afterwards, while recovering from surgery. He and his family lived mostly on savings during this time. The cost for his new treatment will be approximately $50K plus.
Please help us get Will through this process. Anything you give will be greatly appreciated and will help in getting him one step closer to overcoming this terrible disease. Let’s help him get well soon so he can go back out there to do what he loves best, helping others.
