We are Matthew and Christy Eisiminger. We live in Medford Oregon. Our son Joel Eisiminger is a wildland firefighter from Southern Oregon. While dispatched on a fire in California, Joel became seriously ill. Shorty after, he was diagnosed with an acute form of Leukemia (AML)
Joel has been a wildland firefighter for 6 years, this was his passion.
His complete story was covered in the New York Times online today. Joel is continuing his medical care in Alaska. Contributions will be used towards his medical expenses and continued care.
Thank you for your contribution.
Congress has now reversed a decade long ban now allowing Wildland Firefighters to wear respirator's when needed. Thank you, NEW YORK TIMES
FOR SHARING THIS STORY.
