Please Help Wendy While She Battles Cancer

My sister Wendy has dedicated her lifework to helping others. Whether in her Occupational Therapy work, therapy dog volunteer work, or volunteering with dog rescue and placement, Wendy always gives her whole heart. Now she needs us and others to help her.

While everyone else was celebrating Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year’s, Wendy’s normal life had come to a complete halt. My sister didn’t get to celebrate. Instead, her battle against cancer had begun.

Wendy learned she had stage-3 cancer at the end of November 2022 when she went to the ER not feeling well and was informed that she had a huge mass inside of her and was admitted into the hospital.

She continues to battle this cancer with full determination. Having completed her 7 weeks of daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy, she is now on oral cancer medication and currently dealing with both the aftereffects of the radiation and chemo as well as the side effects from the new oral therapy. All of this has her still very tied up in medical care.

Wendy courageously continues to do all that she must to get to the other side of this and regain her healthy life. She still has a road ahead of her, but Wendy is a fighter and very determined.

Wendy is unable to work because of all she is contending with medically. To those of you who have not yet donated please help and contribute. It makes all the difference for her! Any and every amount is beneficial!
