I am appealing to your generosity to help my beautiful sister Wendy Swartzell, who is currently in ICU after suffering a severe life-threatening trauma which occurred in her home during the evening hours on 2/22/24.
Wendy lives alone with her 3 fur babies, which resulted in delayed emergency care as she laid on the floor until the following day when a welfare check was made and was discovered on the ground unresponsive.
She was rushed to the Emergency department and taken almost immediately into emergency surgery for an actively bleeding subdural hematoma. At this point in time, it has been almost 72 hours since this nightmare unfolded and we're optimistic about her recovery, rejoicing in each glimmer of progress she is showing. As of now, she is still on a ventilator and unresponsive, albeit stable, thanks to God and her medical team.
Wendy is looking at a very extensive and difficult road to recovery. We were told, citing the 'best-case scenario', she will be in ICU for at least a week and the aftercare will take months. Any donation you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and extremely helpful since she is the sole income earner of her household with nothing incoming at this time. The money raised will go toward her recovery, care, and maintaining her monthly expenses.
Wendy is a beloved mother, sister, daughter, cousin, auntie, niece, friend and dog mom. She is expecting IDENTICAL TWIN GRANDSONS within the next few months, so again, I appeal to your generosity for any donation you can offer, to aid in her recovery so she can love on those babies like she should when they arrive!! I'll do my best to keep you updated.
Much love and gratitude to you all!
